Jorge Fragoso
Jorge R. Fragoso graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2006 and worked as a Spanish teacher and bookseller before attending law school at the University of Wisconsin. After graduated in 2012, he joined the SPD trial division in Waukesha County, he represented people in criminal matters from the pre-charging stage through verdict and was a member of the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Courts. In 2016, he transferred to the SPD appellate division in Milwaukee, where he represented many clients in post-conviction and appellate proceedings and argued before the Wisconsin Supreme Court. In 2021, he became an Associate with Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he practiced criminal defense at both the trial and appellate levels. Jorge was appointed judge of Branch 23 of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court by Governor Tony Evers on September 18, 2023. Jorge is married to Adele Loria, the director of the Pauline Haass Public Library in Sussex, Wisconsin. Jorge and Adele live in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood with their two daughters, Luisa and Ceci, and their dog, Simon.
