Alexander Balzano

Photographer/Videographer

Alex is an independent cinematographer and photographer based in Saco, Maine, with experience working across Boston, New York, and Los Angeles. He brings a cinematic eye to even the smallest of moments, approaching every project with the same heart and attention as if it were his own passion piece.

A graduate of Emerson College, Alex is a proud advocate for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC rights, and his storytelling is shaped by his experience on the autism spectrum. He’s drawn to work that amplifies underrepresented voices and captures the raw, honest beauty of real life.

When he’s not behind the camera, Alex is deep into horror films, obsessed with all things Godzilla, and geeking out over biology facts. He’s also an animal lover, an outdoor adventurer, and a writer who’s always juggling a new screenplay or editorial idea.

With a deep love for storytelling and a creative spark that never really shuts off, Alex is excited to bring his vision and voice to the mission of Peaceful Prisons Project
